Thermaltake LCGS Reactor 380S Review

The Thermaltake LCGS Reactor S is a gaming motherboard that is designed for high-performance gamers. It has a very powerful processor, which is great for playing the latest games.

AMD Ryzen7 5800X Processor

This processor is incredibly fast and is perfect for playing the latest games. It has a maximum operating temperature of 65 to 75 degrees Celsius, so you can be sure that your computer will stay cool while you are gaming.

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Graphics Card

The Thermaltake LCGS Reactor S has a high-performance graphics card that is perfect for gamers and content creators. It comes with outstanding features, such as lightning-fast 60 FPS performance and advanced gaming software. Thanks to its great performance, the Thermaltake LCGS Reactor S is perfect for use in gaming and multimedia applications.

The Thermaltake LCGS Reactor S is also equipped with a cool and efficient heatsink design. This ensures that the card runs at its best even under extreme conditions. Thermaltake LCGS Reactor S also supports NVIDIA G-SYNC technology for a smooth, crisp gameplay experience. This makes it the perfect choice for gamers who want the best graphics possible.

Ports

The Thermaltake LCGS Reactor S also has a very good number of ports. It has six USB 3.1 Gen 1 ports, two USB 2.0 ports, and one Ethernet port. This means that you can easily connect your computer to the internet and share files with friends.

The Thermaltake LCGS Reactor S also has a built-in sound card, so you can enjoy the high-quality sound when you are gaming.

Case

I like the style, which is why I opted for this one. If I had constructed it myself rather than bought it, I would have saved approximately $500, but that is the current market and is obviously subject to change. The case is sleek but honest, $110 should get you more quality, considering the case is rather flimsy, especially when you consider the total cost of the system.

Cooling

The bottom of the case is completely pass-through with a large dust filter. I knew they put in some perforation there, but I wasn’t completely sure of the setup. It has 2) 120mm fans(1 up top connected to AIO rad and the other at bottom) and (1) 120mm fan at the rear.

Temps test

Since the case, AIO, and only three fans are small, the PC runs VERY cool, but about as expected. A slight adjustment in warzone settings gives me a temperature of 75 C, but if I bump it up to ultra and high on everything, I can hit 90 C, but I didn’t stay long to see if it would drop. Change the fan curve here, it could help a bit; I run at 1440 with frames limited to 100, and it doesn’t really care that I’m gaming.,

Final Thought

It’s a lot of money to spend on a system without having to worry about shipping, parts compatibility, or even – quite frankly – cost if you’re not searching for the cheapest price for each component. The graphics card is obviously the most expensive part of the computer, and at best, a 3080 is $1000 at micro center if you live near one. With a 5900x, a 570 mobo, and probably a 2TB m.2, I could have made it slightly beefier, but I don’t have time to order/wait/deal with shipping and returning doa components.

Additional Resources

If you are looking for an LCS-type case to house your gaming PC or media center, the Thermaltake LCGS Reactor S may be a good choice. This case can accommodate graphics cards up to 211mm in length, making it a suitable option for high-end builds. Additionally, the included RGB Lighting gives you plenty of options when it comes to customizing your system.
